In this message, Christopher Maselli takes us through the books of 1st and 2nd Samuel to uncover how the entire story of Israel’s early kings points directly to Jesus Christ.
Starting with the foundation in Luke 24 and John 1—where Jesus reveals Himself throughout the Old Testament scriptures—we explore Israel's demand for an earthly king and how their search for a champion finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus. Look closely at the famous battle between David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, seeing how David as a shepherd-king rescues his flock and previews the ultimate victory Jesus won for us. Connect the dots through Isaiah 59 and Ephesians 6 to discover how God’s armor and salvation equip us today.
